Oh say can you see
By the Dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed
At the Twilight's last gleaming?

Those bright scales and sharp claws
Through the perilous night
O'er the ramparts we watched
Were so gallantly streaming.

And the Bat's crimson glare,
Meteors bursting in air
Gave proof through the night
That our Flag was still there.

Oh say does that Wyrm-
Tangled Banner unfold
O'er the Land of the Free
And the Home of the Bold?
